Who is responsible

GRIPS INDIA, a proprietorship of J B Ravishankar (Jayachamarajapura Basappa Ravishankar), is responsible for personal data collected through thetatamicenter.com. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Data we collect

Depending on what you do on the site, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number and WhatsApp number
• A delivery address, when we need it to ship an order or when you include it in a message
• What you submit in a form, including contact enquiries, event interest, product questions, and chat messages
• Order information: the items, quantities, the amount in INR, and the payment reference the gateway returns

Why we use it

We use this data to reply to you, confirm and deliver orders, issue event tickets, carry out interior design work, and keep a record of payments and complaints.

Payment data

Card, UPI, and net-banking details are entered on the payment gateway's page. Payments are processed by PhonePe Payment Gateway and Razorpay. We do not store your card details. We may keep the payment reference, the amount, and the status that the gateway sends back to us.

What this site stores on your device

This site does not use a third-party analytics service, and it does not set advertising cookies. Your browser keeps a few values in local storage so the site can work: the shopping cart, the phone number and email you type at checkout, your language choice (English or Japanese), products you recently viewed, and a chat session identifier. You can clear these in your browser settings. The site still works afterwards. The cart and the language choice reset.

Who we share data with

We share only what a partner needs to do their part of the work:

• PhonePe Payment Gateway and Razorpay, to take a payment
• A shipping partner, to deliver physical goods inside India
• Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which stores form submissions so we can reply

We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep order, payment, and tax records for as long as Indian tax law requires. We keep enquiry and chat messages until the matter is finished and we no longer need them, and then we delete them. You may ask us to delete a message sooner, unless we have to keep it for a legal or tax reason.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023 you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it where the law allows, and withdraw consent for a use that was based on consent. Email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm that the request is yours.
