About the craft
Learn more about fusuma
A fusuma is a sliding door faced with paper. It closes a room without a hinged door. The paper is also what you see, and what takes the light.
What is a fusuma?
A sliding door. The face is paper. It runs in a track, so the door does not swing into the room.
Can the paper be renewed?
The paper face is the part that can be replaced. The door stays. Tell us the opening when you enquire, and we confirm what can be done.
How do you look after the paper?
Keep it dry. Dust it lightly. Do not wipe the face with a wet cloth.
